PLEASE NOTE:
"Poisonous" does not mean deadly. Some manifestations of toxicity are subtle. The dose, as always, determines if a plant is safe source of nutrients or a toxic hazard.

BRIEF: Could you give me some information on the toxicity of the peace lily?

QUESTION:
I am looking for information on toxicity of the peace lily. My dog is very sick, possibly lymphoma. Maybe there is no connection, but I know he ate some of this plant last month. I would greatly appreciate information.

ANSWER:

Peace lily can leave a dog with a sore mouth and other more serious problems if he ate enough, but leukemia seems unlikely, especially that fast.
