PLEASE NOTE:
"Poisonous" does not mean deadly. Some manifestations of toxicity are subtle. The dose, as always, determines if a plant is safe source of nutrients or a toxic hazard.

BRIEF: Are the seeds of Mimosa Pudica poisonous?

QUESTION:
Can you tell me if the seeds of Mimosa Pudica are poisonous.

ANSWER:

This plant contains the toxic amino acid mimosine. If livestock eat enough of it, their hair falls out. The root has some kind of pain killer/emetic compound, but I don't know what it is. The root is supposedly OK applied topically for pain, but will make you sick if eaten.
