CNCPS Version 6.1 will work best on computers running Windows 7 and must have Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0. Download Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4 (Standalone Version)
The program will run on previous versions of MS Windows very effectively but you must have the .Net Framework v4.0. If you experience issues with installation on Windows 7, right click on the install icon and click "Install as Administrator".
There are demo files that help you with the biology and a quick start guide. See below for additional files to assist you with implementation of the model.
If you continue to experience installation errors or have any user questions or comments, please contact us at cncpscattle@cornell.edu.

Due to Windows 7 and Vista security programming, we have had to modify how the program stores farm files. When you load this version, it will attempt to identify all of your farm files located wherever Windows 7 or Vista had placed them and will try to put them all in your FARMS folder.
If you cannot find all of your farms, please read the following instructions to help you locate them:
Steps (all based on Microsoft Windows 7):
- hidden folders/files must be viewable. To do this:
- go to Control Panel
- Appearance and Personalization
- Folder Options
- Click on the View Tab
- In the advanced settings pane, under Files and Folders options, Click on the selection to "Show hidden files, folders, and drives"
- Click on Apply
- Click on OK
- Close the control panel window
- Now do: Start, Computer
- Double click on Drive C
- Double click on:
- Users
- [user name] (ie, my case it would be Mike)
- AppData
- Local
- Virtual Store
- Program Files (important, IF Program Files (x86) exists, open this one)
- Cornell University
- CNCPS v. 6.1
- Current Farms
- You will see all your *.cncps files now. You can now select them all and move them to the new Current Farms folder location in My Documents.
- To do this,
- simply highlight the files
- right click on any of them
- click on cut or copy. If you do cut, you will move the files. So it may be a good idea to do copy and keep the original files as a backup
- now go to My Documents, Cornell University, CNCPS v. 6.1, Current Farms
- Right click and click paste
